School Under the Apple Trees | Sarnia/ Lambton County Portrait Photgraphers

I don't believe we've mentioned it on the blog, but we homeschool our four children. It's been a great decision for our family in that it has allowed them to work at an accelerated pace, go on business trips as a family with Murray, and learn to develop skills and gifts that they otherwise would not have had time for if they had been in school. Homeschooling also gives our kids the freedom to do school under the apple trees :o). It was a sunny, breezy morning. The blossoms were actually past their peak, so each time an extra gust of wind blew, the girls were showered with white petals. The girls decided amongst themselves to all wear pink (they've learned over the years that co-ordinated colours look much nicer in photos ;o)) just in case Mom decided to haul out the camera. Thanks for thinking of me girls :o)!

This image was majorly processed, but I like the effect.

**Note to self: when working on two different shoots at the same time be sure to check your settings when batch processing. Then you wouldn't have the two different watermarks. Oops! Another one for the lesson book!

How often can anyone say they've done school under the apple trees while enjoying a snowfall of white petals.

Because we remember moments, not days...
