Our Graduate | Sarnia/ Lambton County Portrait Photographers

Our first born daughter graduated from grade eight this year. It was a very busy, but special day. It was so busy in fact, that we never really got many photos of her on the special day. So, I sort of recreated her hair style and we donned her dress again for a photo session. We went to a family favorite spot and had a ball. The evening sunlight couldn't have been more perfect!

Time to kick up her heels!

I have a confession to make, and I'm sure she would allow me to tell you. Both her shoes and her dress are from local thrift stores. The wrap was the most expensive thing because I had to buy the fabric "make" it yet. Our school has a dress code that does not allow strapless (or even thin straps), let alone the open back of her dress. We bought the dress before we thought about the dress code, but we made it work. However, there is a dress code carefully recorded in my brain for our next five daughters' graduation days.

Happy graduation day Peach!!

Making Music

Our second oldest daughter is a musician. She plays piano, violin, and sings. Not a day goes by that we don't hear her on the piano multiple times practicing scales or attempting a song she heard somewhere recently. It only made sense to take her out and get some photos of her on the violin. She asked me to point out though that because these are photos and she wasn't actually performing, she is holding her violin incorrectly.(Her teacher saw a preview photo I posted and immediately caught it too :o)). We used the same wheat field as her younger sister -- except that now the wheat was harvested.

Heading home again through the bean field. It was a quick session, but she's a natural in front of the camera, so it doesn't take long to get some nice portraits. We were glad to be done because as the sun continued to rise so did the temperature.

To see more from this session, you can stop by our group on facebook and find it here.

Our Prairie Girl

Murray and I were on a class trip with our oldest daughter when Squirt left for her class trip. They were learning about the "olden" days and there was a pioneer day for school children at one of your local museums. Since we weren't home to see her in her pioneer girl outfit, she requested that she wear it again and I do photos of her.

On a perfect sunny morning, we trotted out to the wheat field and took some photos:

With her blue bonnet, the blue skies, and the golden wheat field, it was a perfect session!

To see more of this session, go see the album on our page on facebook here.

Tea Time

My Littles were very excited to do a photo session for me -- not because they were excited to be in front of the camera, but because of the promise of yummies and the opportunity to get dressed up!

I'm glad this is a small tea set because they ate all my cookies and the entire pot of sugar. Oh well, they had lots of fun!

This is the first in a series I am doing as a summer photo project of my children, to see more of this session go to facebook here

Meet Lyric | Sarnia / Lambton County Pet Portrait Photographers

She's an eighteen month old rescue cat. She settled into her new home happily and quickly. A more sweet or playful little cat, you won't meet.

I do believe her name suits her quite nicely with those little white paws and white mask on black!

Some Valentine's Day Love | Sarnia/Lambton County Portrait Photographers

We got the kids together on Saturday for a quick and crazy Valentine's session. Seeing that their brother is the oldest and the only boy, we had to take advantage of that fact.

This one just made me laugh. Our oldest and youngest clowning around together.

Happy Valentine's Day from our family to yours!

Taking Advantage of Some Snow | Sarnia/ Lambton County Portrait Photographers

It was a snowy Saturday. A couple of my children had been asking me to do some new portraits of them, so I willingly obliged.

While her brother was at work, Beans got dressed up and braved the chill air for several poses. Then her brother arrived home and promptly changed into what he wanted for his session.

They dress up nice :o).
