Sunday Shoot | Sarnia/ Lambton County Family Portrait Photographers

As photographers, is it actually possible to do your own family shoot? I would have to say yes. With the help of (mostly) cooperative children who are no longer preschoolers and a camera remote, we managed to get some good family shots.

I was hoping for a day like yesterday for awhile (except maybe a little warmer). I love it when the clouds are big and dark, but there's no threat of rain. We survived through the cold and wind and had a great time!

Of course when you do our own shoot, you do run the risk of a few outtakes -- such as waves rolling up behind you unaware.

And occasionally you need some comic relief ;o).

However, once you have the family ones out of the way, you can just have fun

By the time we were leaving the sun was out more than it was hidden. We were cold though and needed to warm up, so we headed home.

Visiting with the W's | Sarnia/ Lambton County Portrait Photographers

We got to meet with Mr and Mrs W last night. Both Murray and I knew who they were, but actually hadn't talked them before last night. It's funny how that happens even in a church setting. I have to say that that is one of the real blessings of doing all these shoots. We get to meet virtually each and every member of our diverse church family. It has been fun, interesting, and heartwarming. Meeting Mr. and Mrs. W was no exception. What a kind, friendly, and fun couple! And wonderful smilers too!

Thank you Mr. and Mrs. W for sharing part of your evening with us. It was so good to meet and visit with you!

Fun on the Farm | Sarnia/ Lambton County Family Portrait Photographers

After visiting with the W's, we took a short drive down the road to take another family of W's portraits. This was our first working farm shoot. D even washed the tractor that day, so they could have some photos with the tractor. It was so fun! What a great place for photos! The options were endless, but in the end our natural light was waning, so we had to stop. I'm sure we could have spent another hour or two with them though!

The simple (not so fun) pose. The shoe-in to make sure we have a church directory photo.

With John Deere :o). Even Jack the dog, and Poufy the kitten were in on the session.

Fun on the bales.

How many people can say they've had their portraits done on the grain bin?

As the sunlight waned we took some photos purely for fun!

Thank you W/W-W family for a very fun evening!!

Photographing Families | Sarnia/ Lambton County Family Portrait Photographers

Our fourth shoot this week -- and another beautiful shady backyard. The R family was another great family to take photos of. I love photographing families -- especially ones with young adults. They are usually armed with ready smiles, lots of ideas, and willing to try several different shots. We had a very fun evening with the R family!

I had to convince C that it really was okay to smile :o).

Scout is quite the model subject. She even had a sweet head tilt going on.

Lovely ladies.

I just had to include this photo. There is really nothing like a well loved family pet, and Scout is definitely one!

Thank you R family for a great evening! Even though the weather looked iffy all day, it turned out to be a beautiful evening and we're happy we could do your session yet.
