Our baby turned six this month, so in true photographer fashion, we did a shoot. As the weather is not conducive to taking portraits in a fancy dress outdoors this time of year, I rearranged our living room, so I could use the natural light. In the end I had to hang lightweight blankets over the sheers to further reduce the amount of light I let in, as it was still too harsh. I got it pretty close to what I was looking for...
Six is a fun age, as children begin to be very aware of the camera. I wanted some photos of Squirt in a full out natural smile as this is likely my last session of her with all her baby teeth, but it was not to be. She was not in a smiling mood. So instead, we had a little fun.

The R-C Family | Sarnia/Lambton County Family Portrait Photographers
On a chilly day in early December, we ventured out for a photo session with what remained of the snow. We had a very early snowfall! November 18 to be exact. The R-C family wanted photos in the snow as this is their first winter here in Canada. They wanted snow photos to send back to family and friends in their home country. Once I began shooting, I barely noticed the cold, but they were freezing! They were great sports though and we had a lot of fun getting photos of them in various locations. Don't the boys look cool :o)?!? Thank you R-C family for braving the cold to get some snow photos. It was a beautiful afternoon!

Puppies! | Sarnia/ Lambton County Pet Portrait Photographers
Our friends' beagle Kristy had a litter of puppies and they are ready to be sold just in time for Christmas. I had the pleasure of getting some quick (because it was so cold outside) photos of them before the ad was run. C and I had fun trying to pick which group shot would go on the ad. The little guys and girl are as cute as a button!!
This one is a little male.
This little guy is called a lemon beagle. His markings are very light. No dark brown anywhere.
Here is the only female. She's the tiny one. She also happens to be my favorite :0)!
Getting your portrait done and being told to stay still is tiring work!!

The K Family | Sarnia/ Lambton County Family Portrait Photographers
The colours this autumn have been incredible! It was a little cooler out while doing this shoot, but nothing that couldn't be managed in beautiful heavy knitted sweaters. The K family was a lot of fun to shoot. It likely helps that Mrs. K is a very good friend of mine and a fellow photographer. Their children are at a fun age to photograph. C knows exactly what is expected of him and had sweet smiles everytime. J is a lot like my Squirt -- a little imp. He's full of life and loves to laugh. Little Miss H is so sweet. She's happiest being close by Mom and Dad.

The Vdv Family | Sarnia/ Lambton County Family Portrait Photographers
What a perfect day for a photo session. Not to hot, not too cold. Gloriously sunny with enough clouds to make the sky interesting. We spent the whole afternoon doing the Vdv's photos. They were very creative with their ideas, so we got a lot of fun and interesting shots! What a fun afternoon! Thanks guys!!
